Cortek Group is a Victorian building surveying practice run by two Registered Building Surveyors. After more than a decade working with Tekcon Group we now specialise in domestic building permits, and we collaborate with you from the first plan check through to the occupancy permit. Plans are assessed and inspections carried out by registered practitioners, and every job runs on permit software we built.
Based in Sunbury, we're a local building surveyor issuing building permits right across Victoria, including Hume, Melton, Brimbank, Wyndham, Macedon Ranges and regional areas.
Two of them, each with over a decade of experience in Victoria. Every assessment carries a name and a registration number, every statutory event is lodged with the Building and Plumbing Commission, and inspections are carried out by registered practitioners.
We raise issues early, talk them through with the builder or designer, and stay on the file until there is a way forward. The job runs on our own software, so you can see where it sits at any time.
Building permits for sheds, verandahs, pergolas, decks, carports, garages, pools, extensions and new homes. Plans assessed against the NCC and the Building Regulations by a Registered Building Surveyor, with any RFIs raised early in the assessment. Fixed fee, quoted up front, and the permit number issued to you on grant. Every statutory event is lodged with the Building and Plumbing Commission.
Apply for a permitEvery mandatory stage: footings, steel, frame, waterproofing, pool barriers and final. Booked online against your permit, with every result recorded against it and lodged with the Building and Plumbing Commission.
Book an inspectionWe check your certificates against the permit conditions, complete the final inspection, and issue the Occupancy Permit or Certificate of Final Inspection. Essential safety measures are scheduled as part of it, and the permit is lodged with the Building and Plumbing Commission.
Apply for occupancyWhen a design cannot meet the Deemed-to-Satisfy provisions, there is usually still a compliant way to build it. We scope the Performance Requirements, agree the assessment method with you and the consultants, and document how the solution meets the Performance Requirements, then carry it through to the permit, lodged with the Building and Plumbing Commission.
